- St Patrick’s Day Parade
- The Greening of the Fountains
- St Patrick’s Day Festival
On March 17th* right after the Feast of St. Patrick’s Day Mass at the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist, the annual St Patrick’s Day parade begins.
Guests don’t have to go far to watch the parade as the route passes directly in front of our hotels on Bay Street.
Locals and vacationers alike are up ready and waiting to claim their traditional spots each year. Savannah’s beautiful historic squares make for perfect tailgating lots, while the sidewalk along Broughton and Bay Street are great for general viewing. Be sure to bring something comfy to sit on and grab a spot early!
*Parade may fall on the 16th or 18th if the 17th is a Sunday
Out of all of the festivals and events on River Street and in City Market, none is bigger, better or greener than their St. Patrick’s Day Festival. Vendors will line the street with gifts and goodies and bands perform live music on stages all over downtown Savannah. Guests can hit up River Street for a good time with great jams or grab a drink and some food.
